After season 11 of Curb Your Enthusiasm received a warm welcome following a year-plus hiatus, folks are now looking forward to what’s ahead on the hit HBO comedy series. For starters, the new season of the show is about to feature a special guest appearance from a certain Big Bang Theory star.
Last Sunday night, Larry David was joined by fellow Curb Your Enthusiasm actors Susie Essman and Jeff Garlin to kick off new episodes. But before the premiere aired, Kaley Cuoco shared an exciting announcement on Instagram that caught the attention of her fans.
After showing a different side of herself in HBO Max’s dark comedy drama The Flight Attendant, Kaley is returning to her sitcom comedy roots. “Yes I did an episode of Curb,” she wrote in her Instagram Stories. “Yes it was a bucket list moment for me!”
While the 8 Simple Rules alum didn’t reveal more details about who she would be playing on the show, executive producer Jeff Schaffer opened up to Entertainment Weekly about her introduction. According to the writer and director, Kaley will portray a doctor named Heidi who has a connection to another guest star.
“She’s a doctor who shows exceeding amounts of patience with Larry,” he told the outlet. “She is playing the girlfriend of Freddy Funkhouser [Vince Vaughn], and as happens to all things Funkhouser, when Larry gets involved, things get more complicated and then they go south.”
He continued: “She said she hadn’t done a lot of improv before she came in, and she must’ve been lying. She fit in perfectly — it was like she’d been on the show forever.”
Kaley is among a handful of A-listers appearing in Curb Your Enthusiasm season 11. Mad Men star Jon Hamm made a cameo in the first episode and other guests include Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen and Bill Hader. We can’t wait for Kaley to make us laugh again!
